A stich in time saves nine. Home exterior and interior requires regular maintenance else would need total overhaul in future.

An annual maintenance drill is often considered good enough to safeguard your €investment of the life€. For exterior maintenance, a good quality whitewash, once in a year, mainly after rainy season in the month of October-November, keep your house walls in good condition and make them attractive.

Doors and Windows

Door and window hinges, handles, hooks and stopper needs to be checked for their working condition. Wooden doors should be polished once or twice a year to protect them from termites, fungus and other possible damages. Metal doors or aluminium railings needs to be painted to make them rust-proof and long-lasting.

Electrical and Plumbing Fittings

Fire-fighting equipment, electrical fittings, power auto-cut, switches, wires, lift must be checked and repaired/replaced if required. Such corrective measures taken on or before time save your life and money. This not only prevents instances like sudden breakdown of essential services/facilities at your homes but also saves your time and money.

Household electrical appliances, ACs, water cooler must be checked annually for any mal-functioning so that they don't give a shock to you and your pocket later on. Plumbing fittings, if becomes non-functional, can ruin your day. So give adequate attention to their wellness. Check the water pipes, tanks, sewage pipes every six month for leakage, rusting, blockage. These checks will ensure you are not out of water supply, suddenly one Sunday morning.


Other interior decors may require a seasonal makeover. Regularly look in your furniture like living room sofa, wooden centre table, other wooden chairs, beds etc. Usually these items have hidden parasites which remain unnoticed and cause heavy monetary losses later. Regular polish and pest removals save the wood and give long life to your costly furniture. Floor mattress should be vacuum cleaned daily or alternatively. Dust on mattress not only reduce their life but also make the house untidy.

Keep the floor, aluminium railings and wall tiles clean. The more you take care of them, the more their life will be. Clean the tiles daily with good branded disinfectants. Do never use local floor cleaners as they may leave stain marks behind or deteriorate the tiles/marble.

One of the most important parts of the house which is often neglected is roof-top. It must be checked properly, before rainy season, for cracks, holes, and waste stuff (usually kept there). Any kind of water logging sources should be removed to save your house from dampening, seepage, leakage. Roof should be kept clean from tree leaves, dust and other such things as these stop the free flow of rain water and creates water clogging.

Outside Area

Trees and plants in the garden should be weekly pruned and cleaned. Grass properly and timely removed makes the house beautiful and liveable. Hedges should be properly shaped to make them adorable and look beautiful.

Swimming Pool

Swimming Pool requires an attentive house owner to look after it regularly. Any dead leaves fallen in pool water should be removed. Pool water should be changed in every 2- 3 month depending on the size of the pool. Inner surface of the pool should be painted every year to keep the pool walls safe. When not in use, the pool should be emptied and cleaned.
