Well you may have set your heart on buying a swimming pool, and an in-ground one may be very appealing. However you should always consider buying an above ground pool.

They have many of the benefits of an in-ground pool but at a fraction of the cost. Firstly there is no need to dig a huge hole in your garden and then spend around three weeks waiting for your pool contractor to do his magic.

With an above ground pool, even a large one, you will have it up and running over the course of a weekend. That said a very large pool can take several days to fill depending on your water pressure.

An in-ground one can add value to your property but you have to bear in mind that not everyone likes swimming or wants the expense of running a swimming pool, so you may have less potential buyers when it comes to selling.

Also if having had one built you find yourself not using it, you cannot sell it to somebody else, it is there for good.

Where as with an above ground swimming pool you can take it with you if you move house, or if you buy an above ground one and find yourself not using it much, then you can always sell it to someone else.

You may need to get planning permission for an in-ground one, where as with an above ground swimming pool you will not need to get planning permission.

So all in all that makes a good case for buying an above ground swimming pool.
