It is indeed a fact that pool filter cartridges have become the preferred choice of pool owners for the effective maintenance of their swimming pool. Cartridge filters are important pool accessories which can pool accessory filters the impurities such as dirt, sand, oil, grime, and other contaminants which if not removed can make your pool water grimy brown color, making it unhealthy for swimmers to swim.

Your cartridge filter requires cleaning up or replacement when the pressure gauge indicates a pressure of 8-10 psi.

Since, these types of filters require low maintenance; all you need to do is remove the cartridge from the filter housing and rinse it with a garden hose. While rinsing off the debris it is important not to use too much of pressure as this can press on debris further into the cartridge. All you need to do is soak it in a cleaner or alkaline based solution overnight, once the cartridge is rinsed off. Finally, remove it from the cleansing solution and thoroughly rinse it off with water.

As compared to sand and DE filters, cartridge filters have a larger surface area which allows for lesser clogs and easier maintenance. Moreover, cartridge filters are very easy to install and consequently doesn€¬€t require the service of an expert.
