We are in a time and era where we need to make every effort to be as eco-friendly as possible. People are recycling more regularly, eating organic products and being more energy efficient. Now there is one more way in which you can be eco-friendly: by converting your swimming pool into a natural pool. The benefits to having a natural pool over a regular chlorinated pool are numerous.

Firstly, you are no longer exposing yourself to potentially harmful and unnatural chemicals such as chlorine. A natural pool is exactly what it says, natural, with no artificial chemicals or products. They are also cost-effective. To install a natural pool will cost you around the same as installing a regular pool with the plus side being that there is a lot less maintenance involved. You can literally let nature take its course. If you already have a conventional pool in your backyard, you do not have to totally re-install a new pool, you can simply convert it at an affordable price.

Natural pools are also more energy efficient. It is still necessary for your natural pool to have a pool pump, but they are smaller than the pumps used in conventional swimming pools. Some people may be concerned about the safety of swimming in a natural pool with regards to health factors and how clean the pool is. This is not something to worry about since the bacteria in the water ensure that it remains a hygienic and safe swimming environment. The water also remains sparkly and clear throughout.

A natural pool is far more pleasing to the eye and contributes toward making the garden appear more natural, with continuation of flow and design. These swimming pools are now available in all shapes and sizes so you can choose which type or style suites your garden best.
