Are you looking for a way to get more out of your inground or above ground swimming pool? Do you want to know what your best option is for heating your pool and getting a longer swimming season? There are three basic options for heating your pool and you need to know what each one of them is. Here is the information you need to make a decision.

The first option is to use a gas powered heater that is going to be a bit large and bulky. This is a very powerful heater and can get you an extra 10 degrees within just a few hours. This is a great way to go if you do not mind spending a good amount of money for the heater and for the gas to power it. This is best for those that do not use their pool much because it is at a vacation home or just is only used on occasion.

The next option for heating your pool is to use an electric heater to do so. This is better for above ground pools than the gas powered heater and can work very well for in ground pools as well. This will give you the hotter water you desire, but it will take about a day or two to really notice a difference. This will also be a bit expensive on your electric bill.

The last way for heating your pool is to use a solar powered heater. This is by far the most econmical option, however since it is powered by the sun it is hard to use if there is no sun out. This is why you should combine this type of heater with an electric heater so that you can get the best of both worlds without spending a ton of money on electricity.
