How To Keep Your Pool Warm All Year Round

Do you love being in the water but hate the fact that you can't always have your pool open because of the cold weather? This is a common problem that some people have and depending on where you live it can be easy or somewhat difficult to keep your pool warm. Before I tell you how to keep your pool warm I first want to make sure you understand that you don't have to live in Australia to have warm water in your pool all year round, you can live in Europe, Russia, and even Greenland.

What you need to understand is that your pool can be as warm as you want it to be, but how warm is that? If you want it to be like bath water then you will have to put in a little bit of work and money to make it that way but when it is all over, it will be perfect. The trick to keeping your pool warm is to do a few simple things which I have outlined below:

How To Keep Your Pool Warm

Give It Sunlight - The first thing you need to do is give you pool sunlight. If you have a swimming pool that is hidden behind trees and other sun blocking objects then your pool is always going to be cold. Trust me, giving your pool a little bit of sunlight will make a huge difference.

Don't Keep Adding Water - Another thing that you need to refrain from doing is adding cold water all the time. Most people will fill up their pool when they see it is getting low but the truth is that doing this will cool it off very quickly. My advice is to only add water when you pool has dropped at least 5 inches or more.

Use Solar Thermal Energy - If you have never heard of solar thermal energy than you are missing out. What solar thermal energy does is it collects solar energy (sun) and turns it into thermal energy (heat) which is then used to warm up your pool. The best part about solar thermal technology is that it doesn't cost that much and it will pay off within 2 years.

When it comes to keeping your pool warm there are some ways that work really well and others that don't. Just know that you have to know how warm you want your pool to be in order to know which method will work best for you.
