As the summer heat rolls on, the kids get exhausted sitting at home. They want to have a fun day out, but what can be more exciting then a trip to a nearby swimming pool. As we all know water has great therapeutically proven qualities, which elevate your mood. Water makes you feel light, and exercising a lot more easier.

You can do all of this without having to worry about your child, he or she can play by you while you swim or do aqua aerobics. Swimming especially at a younger age proves fruitful for individuals in the long run by making them more physically flexible with better stamina.

According to research, swimming has the potential to increase intelligence, concentration, alertness and perpetual abilities. It helps the child' s muscular stamina, and is a great workout for the heart and lungs.

Swimming gives the parents an opportunity to bond with their child. The social emotional and physical development is increased while swimming. Children must know how to swim as two thirds of the world's space is water!!. You can train your child to swim after they are a year old. They do not have to become experts at it, but after putting on the padded floats, a tube you can put them in the pool. Surround your child with some colorful toys, so that he/ or she does not focus upon the water only. Once he /she is comfortable I the water. You can slowly start training them to swim.

Make sure you use all precautions when they are at the pool. If you will be doing swimming your self make sure someone else is watching them.
