Why salt water pool? Many people like to swim in mild saline solution. They feel like taking shower in soft water. Most people complain that when they swim in non-chlorinated pool their skin dries quicker when they leave the pool. Whereas, in a salt water pool they can feel the smoothness of the water while swimming and feel refreshed when they leave the pool.

Salt water pool is safe and there is no danger in corrosion of equipment since the salt level is low. Salt in a salt water pool is usually not noticeable, salt level requirements to maintain a safe chlorinated pool is about 2500 to 4000PPM. Our human body can taste salt when the pool water reaches around 5000PPM. It is important to note that ocean water has a PPM of around 40000.

A chlorinator generator's key function is to produce chlorine for the pool. When chlorine generators function correctly, it produces more chlorine constantly (when the pump is running).

This keeps a generous amount of chlorine in the pool that prevents algae from growing and other harmful stuff in the water.

The water passing over the chlorine generator cell produces chlorine through the process called electrolysis. The chlorine is instantaneously transformed into hypochlorous acid. This hypochlorous acid is the active sanitizer that is responsible for the pool's sanitation. The hypochlorous acid also helps in preventing the pungent smell of water.

The salt water pool generator is a good choice as long as the pool chemistry is balance and properly maintained.
