Many parents are looking for budget-friendly activities that are fun for the whole family. Going to theme parks, cruising, island hopping or vacationing in other parts of the world may sound fun but it is quiet expensive and not all family can afford to do so. But being on a tight budget should never be an excuse for anyone not to have fun. Our children are our precious gifts and we are all aware that what matters most to them is our love and affection to them. If you want to spend quality time to bond and have fun with your children and the whole family then read on to gain ideas on how to have fun even on a tight-budget:

1. Go for a swim- if you have a pool in your backyard then you do not have to spend a dime to rent a pool. Just prepare a delicious meal for the whole family. For those who do not have a pool in their backyard then you can go out to a public pool. Inquire first if you can bring your own food and drinks or if they charge corkage. Also, be sure that you follow safety precautions when going for a swim with young children. Explain to kids the importance of following rules when in the swimming pool. Do not forget to bring with you important stuff like swimming caps, goggles and anti fog cleaner for the goggles.

2. Hit the park- there are so many things you can do at the park without spending much. You can play ball with the kids at the park, have lunch or picnic at the park, go biking at the park. Ask your children what they want to do at the park so that you can prepare things before going to the place. Be sure to bring lots of water to avoid getting dehydrated.

3. Explore the beauty of nature with your kids- this is the most rewarding activity that you can do with your children. You do not only get the chance to spend time with your children but you also get the chance to exercise. Walking is good for your heart and for your health. If you want to stay physically healthy and have a healthy relationship with your children then go for a walk with your kids daily.

Being on a tight budget does not mean that your relationship with your spouse and kids have to suffer also. The key to a healthy relationship is spending time with them.
