Are you looking for a way to get warmer pool water and extend your swimming season? Do you know about all your swimming pool heater options? There are plenty of things you can do to get your pool up to the temperature that you want. Swimming pool heaters are the way to go and you have basically three options to use. Here they are.

Your first option is to use a gas powered pool heater. You can get one for a decent price and it will heat your pool very nicely. This is the best option for those of you that are trying to heat a pool that you only use once in a while at a vacation home or for parties. This type of pool heater can get the water up in the mid 80s rather quickly.

The downfall is that this type of heater is expensive to run because gas is expensive. This will raise your gas bill about $100 a month or more if you run it consistently so you need to use this type of heater just for quick heating and temporary use.

The second option you can use is an electric pool heater. These are great for heating your pool because they are not as expensive to run as a gas powered swimming pool heater, but they also have a few downfalls. These heaters are expensive to maintain and they are also going to make your electric bill go up quite a bit. This still will not cost you as much as a gas powered pool heater.

The last option is a solar swimming pool heater and this is a great choice. During the hotter and sunnier months a solar heater can get you the temperature you want and the only thing you have to pay for, other than the heater, is the small amount of electric it takes to run the pump. This is a very affordable option when it comes to swimming pool heaters.
